    About KYOTAKU SUIZEN
    虚鐸吹禅は、虚鐸奏者・虚無僧である白土虚皓の笛の音を通じて、聴く者を禅的な瞑想の世界へといざなう試みである。
    "KYOTAKU SUIZEN" is an endeavor to lead listeners into a Zen-like meditative world through the traditional Japanese bamboo flute sounds of Kyotaku performer and Komusō (Zen monk), Kokou Shiratsuchi.

  • Kyōchiku Tani, the mentor of Kokū Nishimura, spent his life as a komusō, performing shakuhachi and practicing alms-begging. He was one of the few shakuhachi performers of his time to give concerts overseas.西村虚空の師である谷狂竹、生涯を虚無僧として過ごし、尺八を演奏しながら托鉢修行を行った。当時としては数少ない海外公演を行った尺八奏者の一人として知られる。
